4.Hardware- Hurd uses Truth Maxim operating hardware on all casement units. Truth Maxim operators are constructed completely from steel. Hurd offers a variety of different hardware finishes including Antique Brass, Bright Brass, Brushed Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Chrome, White and Almond.
5.Warm Edge Spacers- Hurd inserts a stainless steel spacer that blocks harsh temperatures from getting into your home between the paynes of glass in each insulated window. This spacer is less conductive to the transfer of heat and cold, and is flexible. If the spacer bar can not flex with the movement of the house, the panes of glass become loose and condensation collects in the airspace.
6.Color Options- Hurd offers 7 standard colors and 20 special order color options.
7.Interlocker on all Double-Hung units- Helps prevent air infiltration as well as tilt-in latches for ease of cleaning removing windows from the interior.
8.Glass Options- Choose between Lowe E single coat, Climate control, Sun Blocker, and Super Sun Blocker. Laminated, Obscure, and Tempered are also options.
